Estados de Tránsito, 2024
Co-curated with Frank Trobok
Estados de Tránsito brings together interdisciplinary artistic practices to explore identity as a continuous, shifting process rather than a fixed condition. The exhibition departs from the understanding of gender and identity as social constructs, opening space to question and move beyond binary frameworks that have historically shaped bodies and subjectivities.
Through diverse media and approaches, the works engage with the idea of becoming—understood as an ongoing transformation shaped by personal experience, collective relations, and broader socio-political and technological contexts. The exhibition unfolds as a dynamic field where identities are not defined but constantly negotiated, destabilised, and reimagined.
The exhibition space is conceived as a site of encounter, where past, present, and future intersect, and where bodies, technologies, and imaginaries come into dialogue. Rather than offering fixed narratives, Estados de Tránsito invites visitors to inhabit uncertainty, to reflect on how identities are continuously produced, and to consider the possibilities of collective transformation in a world marked by constant change.
